About Prime Plastics
After their 2008 purchase of at least some of Grand Venture’s molds, Prime Plastics (also known as Plastic Power) produced several pre-existing blow mold designs in limited numbers. It is currently unknown how long Prime Plastics actively produced blow-molded products for, and in what quantities. By late 2018, the owner George Retos had pleaded guilty to fraud involving the two plastics companies and was later sentenced to federal prison.
Prime Plastics products can often be identifed through a “Prime Plastics” or “Plastic Power” sticker on the bottom of the blow mold. Prime Plastics was known to re-use Grand Venture catalog numbers, catalogs and paint schemes.
