2026-06-13

• Fixed a bug where updates dated on the last day of a month were missing from their monthly update archive pages — and December 31st updates from the Recent page.
• Product counts shown on season gallery pages and the “New For” pages no longer double-count items that belong to multiple categories or are sold by multiple retailers.
• While browsing an Additional Catalogs letter page, the catalog selector now correctly shows “Viewing collection”, and the letter navigation gained an “Index” button for a quick return to the company list.
• Patent downloads now always carry a descriptive file name — previously a dozen of them saved with internal file names like u2106099c_p0.pdf.
• The “Copy link” button on patents now produces a working link that jumps to the specific patent when opened.

• Character group pages (e.g. Nightmare Before Christmas, Casper and Friends) have been re-merged into a single Character category for each season. Instead, the character pages now breakdown into sections by movie, franchise, etc. This allows richer search and organization features and without the need to create vague (or overly specific) categories to manage the influx of new I.P. releases.
• The search system now recognizes common topics (e.g. “The Haunted Mansion”) when autocompleting for instant and easy site wide search of related themes.
• Items with associated topics now display “See all related products” links in their information popup.

• Updates page now includes YTD (year-to-date) archives for 2021 and 2022 via an improved dropdown menu.

• Inline modal popups have returned, however unlike the original version, these are loaded via an additional web request. This makes the process a bit slower, but saves a lot of bandwidth and reduces page load times.
• The correct 404 page is now served instead of the nginx default.

• To reduce increasingly large page sizes (2MB+), products now link to individual pages rather than an inline modal popup. This reduces most page sizes by nearly 50% for faster loading and rendering.
